As a young boy, I was always fascinated by trees and felt a deep connection to nature. That quiet pull only grew stronger over the years, eventually inspiring me to get my hands into the soil. I remember receiving my first bonsai as a gift — it didn’t survive, but that loss sparked something in me: a determination to understand the art of bonsai and everything it had to teach.
What I’ve discovered over the years is that bonsai is more than just a craft — it’s a way of slowing down. It invites you to care, to observe, to be patient. Watering, pruning, simply watching — it becomes a mindful ritual that grounds you in the present moment.
Today, To Be A Bonsai has grown into more than just a tiny nursery. It’s become a place to share what I’ve learnt — through workshops, one-on-one guidance, and a thoughtfully curated collection of trees that are available to view and purchase by request.
